The iconic Daniells (Thomas Daniell and his nephew William Daniell) travelled across India between 1786-1793, visually documenting their travels extensively. The Daniells' pioneering and much acclaimed work on India, Oriental Scenery, was published in six parts over the period 1795–1808. These plates are extracted from a later work: The Oriental Annual, published 1834 onwards, which featured the work of WIlliam Daniell.
