Hand-block printing is just one of the many crafts that the Pink City is known for. The industry dates back to the founding of the city in 1727. Jaipur block prints feature Sanganeri and Mughal block printed designs, and the whole process is painstakingly labour intensive. Some makers experiment with contemporary design vocabularies to create new idioms in this age old craft.
