A special interactive, textile appreciation workshop, designed for textile enthusiasts & general audiences alike.
The workshop is designed to uncover the magic and beauty of Indian textiles from a 360-degree perspective.
It provides hands-on experience of Indian textile appreciation to the participants, with the use of many reference textiles and Sarees, and research material. It also involves interactive sessions and exercises and other innovative learning modules.
It attempts to make participants look at textiles and Sarees in an entirely new perspective, and hopes to start a process of lifelong engagement with textiles in an intimate manner.
-----------------------------------------------------
The workshop is conceived and led by Himanshu Verma, the Founder-Director of Red Earth, a Jaipur based independent arts’ organisation founded in 2004, that works with diverse forms of contemporary cultural expression.
