A combination of the form of Kali and Krishna; Krishna Kali is basically a form of Krishna from the Bengal Shakta tradition. The image is in keeping with the folk tale popular in Bengal whereby Krishna transforms himself into Kali when Radha’s husband catches her red-handed with the Krishna.

Abhijeet Roy is a self taught artist with Bengali roots and a sharp inclination towards Shakta traditions and Tantra, that are the major inspirations depicted in a contemporary art style in his work. He has been making art since childhood, working with watercolour as the primary medium. His artworks are personal artistic expressions of the Tantra, Sri Vidya and Shakta theology traditions.
