Anantaya is a globally recognised interdisciplinary lifestyle design studio spearheaded by Ayush Kasliwal (designer) and Geetanjali Kasliwal (architect) in Jaipur, India. Anantaya’s parent company AKDPL (Ayush Kasliwal Design Private Ltd.) is an innovative design company undertaking projects, product design, and collaborations around the world.
Rooted in ancient craft practices, their collection is infused with Indian aesthetics while being designed for contemporary international lifestyle. Through passionate business practices, working with skilled artisans, Anantaya redefines existing local craft traditions and the work of artisan communities by instigating design, technology, capital, and creative collaborations. The company practices fair trade, promotes the empowerment of women and supports artisans’ livelihoods.
The UNESCO Award of Excellence recognized Anantaya’s designs in 2017, 2007 and 2006.
Ayush Kasliwal, an alumnus of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, is one of India’s leading design thinkers, practitioners and advocates for artisans.
Ayush’s design versatility is expressed in the extensive projects undertaken by him, including the VIP lounges and the ‘Mudra’ Surya-namaskar installations at the T3 Delhi International Airport, New Delhi; Kiosks at theT2 international Terminal, Mumbai; Handmade in Rajasthan logo for the Government of Rajasthan; Pink City E-Rickshaw Design to empower women drivers of Rajasthan; and various retail spaces, restaurants & prestigious hospitality projects like Narendra Bhawan, Bikaner. He was invited by Messe Frankfurt to design the India Pavilion at Ambiente (2019).
Ayush was bestowed the EDIDA India, Designer of the Year Award (2013); was a finalist of CII Design Award (2015); recipient of Interior Lifestyle Award by Messe Frankfurt (2015); POOL Best Furniture Design Studio of India (2016).
