Cheriyal Scroll Painting is a traditional painting idiom from the south Indian state of Telangana. The paintings are painted in a narrative format, often in scrolls, much like a film roll or a comic strip; or in the contemporary context, in singular story panels. The style is largely used to depict stories from Indian mythology.

This scroll depicts the journey of Lord Krishna from birth to death. The first two panel show the story behind his miraculous birth, while the third panels shows his childhood antics. In the fourth panel, we see Krishna as a youth, in dalliance with the Gopis; as well as the story of Kaliya Daman. Moving on, we see his Govardhan-dhaari form, and then the context of his marriage with Rukmini. Finally, the last panel depicts the story of his death.
