Our Circular Pichvais bring in a contemporary element to the traditional art form of Nathdwara Pichvais with their unusual compositions, minimalism and solid backgrounds. We have specially commissioned this new series of works after studying many Pichvais from our collection, presenting some details from our favourite Pichvais.
A Lotus Pichvai sans Shrinathji, displaying the original intent of the Pichvai to function as a backdrop for Shrinathji’s deity. The lotus Pichvais are usually used in the summer, especially on the days of Jal Yatra and the festival of Ganga Dassehra. This one has a lustrous silver background (which is hard to judge from the image per se).
