This artwork depicts the artist’s spiritual lineage of Maharishi Durvasa with the core deity being Purna-Ksodashi who is a combination of Kali as the embodiment of Shunya and Kshodashi as the embodiment of creation and worldly aspects. The Guru is shown sharing wisdom, spreading light.
Abhijeet Roy is a self taught artist with Bengali roots and a sharp inclination towards Shakta traditions and Tantra, that are the major inspirations depicted in a contemporary art style in his work. He has been making art since childhood, working with watercolour as the primary medium. His artworks are personal artistic expressions of the Tantra, Sri Vidya and Shakta theology traditions.
